1. Provider and scope

These terms govern use of the MacroSensei iOS and Android apps, the WebApp and related online features. The Privacy Policy explains processing of personal data; acknowledging it is not blanket consent to health processing, advertising or AI services.
2. Minimum age and forming the agreement
MacroSensei is intended for people aged 16 or over. Users under 18 need the agreement of their legal representative where the law requires it for the contract or a paid service. Confirming age does not replace that agreement.
A usage agreement is formed when you expressly agree to these terms and MacroSensei enables your access. A previously acknowledged development placeholder is not agreement to these terms. The applicable version must be readable and capable of being saved before agreement.
3. Accounts and safe use
Provide accurate information required for your account, keep your credentials confidential and inform support if you suspect unauthorised access. Share only content you are entitled to share and do not use someone else's account without permission.
Your username or display name does not have to be your legal name. The app must not require false information to bypass missing permissions or checks. Available sign-in methods and device features may differ between platforms.
4. Features and limitations
MacroSensei supports recording and reviewing nutrition, calories, macronutrients, weight, water, activity, sleep and training, together with selected social and reward features. The app and, where relevant, the specific offer show which features are available.
MacroSensei is intended for personal nutrition and fitness recording and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or therapeutic recommendations. It does not replace medical advice. Targets, calculations, food data and AI results may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check ingredients, allergens, quantities and nutritional values yourself in particular. Estimates do not guarantee any particular health, fitness or weight outcome.
5. Health connections and AI scanner
Connections to Apple Health or Health Connect are optional and require the separate consents and operating-system permissions provided for them. Declining an optional connection should not prevent manual use of core features. Withdrawing permission later does not automatically delete previously stored data.
The AI food scanner is used only following an explicit user action and the information and permissions provided for it. It produces editable estimates, not reliable identification of allergens or medically suitable meals. Check and correct a result before adding it to your diary. Availability and displayed limits may depend on account tier, region, platform and technical readiness.
6. Free, Plus and Pro
Free provides for ordinary banner ads and meal interstitial ads. Plus continues to provide for banner ads but not meal interstitial ads. Pro does not provide for ordinary banner or meal interstitial ads. Ads may only be requested within the applicable privacy permissions and technical availability.
Optional Ramen rewarded advertising is separate and may also be offered to Plus or Pro users. On Free and Plus, new AI scanner analyses are unlocked using scanner keys; completing an optional ad offered for this purpose may provide one key. Existing keys can be used later. Plus therefore does not automatically mean ad-free or key-free AI scans. Pro has a limit of 20 AI analyses per personal day using the app's day assignment, without this key route. This daily allowance is not credited as scanner keys; unused analyses do not accumulate or carry forward to later days. Required privacy permissions and technical safeguards continue to apply.
There is no entitlement to an available ad at a particular time. Missing ads or a choice not to consent to advertising must not block manual use of core features; optional ad-funded extras may then be unavailable. These terms do not activate advertising or replace a separate privacy choice.
7. Paid offers
A paid Pro offering through the Apple App Store and Google Play is planned. The plan is a subscription with a twelve-month term, paid in advance, automatically renewing annually at EUR 23.88 per year. This is mathematically equivalent to EUR 1.99 per month, but is not a monthly-billed plan. A separate monthly subscription is not planned. The planned paid offerings are not currently available. Using the app or having an assigned account tier does not trigger a purchase.
This planned price is not an offer that can be ordered or a worldwide price guarantee. Before an actual purchase, the specific total price, features, billing period, automatic renewal, cancellation and, where applicable, withdrawal rights must be clearly displayed. Cancelling automatic renewal does not end the remaining period already paid for; it does not split the prepaid annual billing period into monthly payments. The contractual information for the specific offer and statutory rights apply.
Where a purchase is made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, their applicable payment and management processes also apply. Automatic renewal can be stopped through the respective store's subscription management. Deleting an account does not cancel an independently managed store subscription. A paid offer is concluded only through a separate order on the terms shown beforehand.
8. Virtual items and rewards
Ramen, scanner keys, badges and other virtual items serve the features described for them within MacroSensei. They are not money or a means of payment and MacroSensei does not redeem them for cash. Trading or transfer outside explicitly provided features is not supported.
Rewards require the conditions stated in the app and, where applicable, a technically confirmed single credit. Contact support if there is an error or a missing credit. These terms do not exclude accrued entitlements or mandatory statutory rights. There is no promise that every optional reward promotion will remain available indefinitely.
9. Your content and shared content
You retain the rights to your own content. You allow MacroSensei only the processing, storage, technically necessary copying and display required to provide the features you choose. Publication or sharing with other users depends on your relevant sharing, chat or profile action. This provision does not give general permission to train AI models on private content.
Respect other people's copyright, personality and privacy rights. Do not publish unlawful content, threats, harassment, abusive reports or malware, and do not try to bypass access protection, reward rules or account restrictions. Shared copies that recipients have already imported or saved outside MacroSensei cannot be completely recalled.
10. Reports and moderation
You can report problematic content using the available reporting features or support@macrosensei.com. MacroSensei may take necessary and proportionate action against unlawful content or accounts and content that breach these terms, for example restricting or removing content or temporarily suspending access.
Where legally permitted and without jeopardising the protection of others or an investigation, you will receive the main reason for a measure and an opportunity to ask support to review it. Immediate protective action may be necessary in an emergency, a security attack or obvious abuse. Statutory complaint or legal remedy rights remain unaffected.
11. Availability, backups and updates
MacroSensei is operated with care but may be temporarily restricted due to maintenance, connection problems, errors or failures of participating services. Offline use and synchronisation depend on available local data, account settings and supported devices. Uninterrupted availability or error-free synchronisation is not promised.
Use available export features for important personal data and install required security updates. This recommendation does not remove MacroSensei's legal obligations to provide and maintain conforming digital services. Material changes to agreed services are subject to statutory requirements and necessary information and agreement; this document does not grant an unrestricted right to make arbitrary detrimental changes.
12. Ending use and deleting an account
You may stop using MacroSensei and use the available account-deletion feature or contact support. The Privacy Policy explains affected data, remaining copies, legal retention and independent moderation evidence. Ending use does not override necessary legal retention.
Termination or permanent suspension by MacroSensei requires an objective, proportionate reason and must comply with mandatory legal requirements. Where reasonable, there should be an opportunity to remedy a problem before a final measure. Contractual entitlements, statutory termination rights and any applicable refund rights remain intact.
13. Liability and statutory rights
MacroSensei is liable in accordance with the law. In particular, liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, mandatory product liability, expressly assumed guarantees and other mandatory claims is not excluded or restricted.
The information about estimates, external data and availability is not a blanket exemption from liability. Statutory rights concerning defective digital products, data-protection infringements and other mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
14. Changes to these terms and contact
A new version will be made available with its date. Material contractual changes will be communicated appropriately and require agreement where legally required. Silence, a previous placeholder acknowledgement or simply continuing to use the app will not generally be treated as agreement. These terms do not override mandatory protections in your country of residence.
